What is Google Chrome Warning Alert?
"Google Chrome Warning Alert" is a fake error message displayed by a malicious website that users often visit inadvertently - they are redirected by various potentially unwanted programs (PUPs) that infiltrate systems without consent. As well as causing redirects, PUPs deliver intrusive advertisements and continually record various user-system information.
According to this error message, the computer has been infected with a type of "Pornographic malware". It is also stated that personal information (logins/passwords, etc.) is at risk, and that closing the pop-up will disable access to the computer.
It goes on to say that the malware must be eliminated and victims are encouraged to contact Google's 'tech support' via a telephone number ("0-800-090-3913") provided. They are then supposedly guided through the malware removal process. Be aware, however, that "Google Chrome Warning Alert" is a scam.
Criminals attempt to scare victims and trick them into paying for technical services that are not required. This malware does not exist and you should never attempt to contact these people. This error message can be removed simply by closing the web browser. As mentioned above, PUPs often generate pop-up, coupon, banner, and other similar advertisements.
To achieve this, developers usually employ a "virtual layer" - a tool that enables placement of third party graphical content on any site. Therefore, the ads often conceal underlying website content, significantly diminishing the browsing experience. Furthermore, they can activate scripts that download/install malware or redirect users to other malicious websites.
Therefore, clicking them risks further computer infections. PUPs also monitor browsing activity by gathering various user-system information. The collected data (IP addresses, URLs visited, pages viewed, search queries, etc.) might contain personal details that developers sell to third parties (potentially, cyber criminals) who misuse private information to generate revenue.
Therefore, the presence of data-tracking apps can result in serious privacy issues or even identity theft. We strongly advise you to uninstall all PUPs immediately.

"Google Chrome Warning Alert" shares many similarities with You May Have Suspicious Activity On Your PC, Ransomware Detected, Security Warning, and dozens of other fake errors. As with Google Chrome Warning Alert, these also claim that the system is infected, missing files, or damaged in other similar ways.
In fact, these claims are merely attempts to trick users into paying for unnecessary technical support. PUPs are often virtually identical. By offering various 'useful features', they attempt to give the impression of legitimacy, however, their only purpose is to generate revenue for the developers.
Rather than providing any value for regular users, PUPs cause unwanted redirects (to promote various websites, most of which are fake search engines), deliver intrusive advertisements (via the "Pay Per Click" advertising model), and record user-system information (which is later sold to third parties).
How did adware install on my computer?
Most PUPs are distributed using a deceptive software marketing method called "bundling" - stealth installation of third party applications with regular (mostly free) software.
Users often skip the download/installation steps. Aware of this, developers hide bundled apps within the "Custom" or "Advanced" settings. Skipping this section often leads to inadvertent installation of rogue apps. As mentioned above, PUPs are also distributed using intrusive online advertisements.
How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications?
To prevent this situation, be very cautious when browsing the Internet. Closely analyze each download/installation step and decline offers to install additional applications. In addition, never click displayed ads. Careless behavior is the main reason for computer infections.
